Award-winning athlete, advocate and artist Kiera Byland has officially launched her “Diamond Art” fundraiser in support of the leadership of the athletes of Special Olympics Great Britain.
The Centennial 100 Champions Lions Club is proud to promote this fundraising effort, and encourages Lions Clubs near and far to consider supporting Kiera’s service, and artistic, efforts!
Kiera Byland joined Lions Clubs International in 2018, pledging to use her voice and life experience to encourage all to serve their communities and support those often on the margins. Here are some of Kiera’s key achievements, among many:
- Member of the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Great Britain
- Chairperson of the Special Olympics Europe Eurasia Athlete Leadership Council and Vice Chair of the Special Olympics Great Britain Athlete Leadership Team
- A triple Gold Medalist at the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games- Los Angeles and the 2019 Special Olympics World Games- Abu Dhabi
- Special Olympics Global Health Messenger and Special Olympics Great Britain Health Advocate, launching Fit 5 and Strong Minds programming across Great Britain
In Kiera’s spare time (I know you will be thinking what spare time) she likes to do something called ‘Diamond Art’ and given the unprecedented times for many charities, she wanted to give back and fundraise as a Lion.
What is Diamond Art?
Diamond art is a combination of cross-stitch and paint-by-numbers- creating a visually dazzling, mosaic-like art that sparkles, shimmers and shines! Kiera has personally made each piece by hand, and looks forward to continuing to produce diamond art as part of her passion to support athletes with intellectual disabilities and their message to the world.
Whilst Kiera doesn’t want to specify what your donation should be, she would really appreciate a minimum donation which is listed on each piece of art work – if you wish to donate more, that would be very much appreciated.
(Postage is typically £5 for Great Britain - it may work out slightly more for oversees).

Lion Face Coverings
All the face coverings are adult sized and have been beautifully handmade with a nose piece to mould around the nose and are priced at £7 each (except SOGB masks £9) or 3 for £20 plus £1 postage;
You can mix and match designs. Please note the SOGB masks are have a limited number available.
