Special Olympics

Special Olympics is a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. We are helping to make the world a better, healthier and more joyful place—one athlete, one volunteer, one family member at a time.

Special Olympics Great Britain (GB),  operates across England, Scotland and Wales and currently have 105 all ability, inclusive sports clubs covering 28 sports, providing approximately 27,000 regular hour-long sporting sessions in an average year. All of which is delivered by an amazing team of over 4,000 volunteers who support more than 10,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities to take part.
